Exhaust Systems

I looked under the back of my truck the other day and half the tail pipe was gone, rotted off at the bend behind the rear wheel. Also between the turbo and muffler there is a few holes. I think it's about time I broke down and got a new exhaust systems.
I'm looking for a good complete exhaust systems that won't brake the bank, something that will bolt right on, something that's not to loud and will last.
Also, I still have the cat on there, should I go with a cat back system or a turbo back. That cat must be pretty blocked up inside by now with a 120,000 on the clock.

I was about to suggest just going to a local shop and let someone bend and weld a replacement tail pipe but if you have 4" system, I doubt ay of them can bend that. And the cat is why I didn't shop past the 04.0 build date. My 4" turbo to tip will never clog, and just in case, I blow it out good every now and then. You just need to do a little shopping online and decide what you want. 4 and 5 inch systems can get pricey fast. I would also shop the craigslist in your area. I see factory takeoffs all the time come up for cheap.

I like my magnaflow. It gets pretty wicked under accel with the camper in tow but at cruising speeds it sounds big-rig perfect.

When my original system rusted out I put on a 5" turbo back system and (legally) eliminated the cat converter. Looking back, I'm not sure the 5" has helped much. I still would have gotten rid of the cat, but I'd probably have gone with a 4" system.

Just installed ANSA Silverline turbo back Single this weekend. The old muffler on 2006 totally rotted out, salt.
The only hard part of the install was getting the clamp around the turbo down pipe. In my case was definitely a 2 person job.
Love the total package. Nice deep tone, not loud in the cab and NO drone.
