Error Code 0111

Hello. When I hopped in my truck the other day the CEL came on. Pulling the codes showed 0111. Using the great search function of this site I see this is related to:

Intake Air / Charge Temperature Sensor Performance / Rationality

Does anybody have an idea what could have caused this problem to show up. I replaced the air filter the day before when I changed the oil, so I may have knocked something loose. The truck is a completely stock 2006 dodge with 16K miles

Did you replace the stock air filter with aftermarket intake/filter, etc? If that is the case, it's ok. If I were you, I would go ahead and unplug your negative battery terminals, wait a few minutes (5 or 10), hook them back up and see if you are still pulling the code. I have a P0111 on mine too and can't shake it, but I also have an aftermarket intake on it...I'm not sweating it though, the intake is doing it's job just fine.

when the weather gets cold, sometimes there are erroneous codes generated. usually the air temp rationalitly and battery temp codes. nothing to worry about, the ecm just gets confused. it will clear itself after a few full warm up/cool down cycles.

Dodge has a TSB on this and other codes. http://dodgeram.info/tsb/2006/18-005-06b.htm This TSB applies to the 2006 model year. I had my truck flashed and have had no further problems.
