Has anyone ever had the engine mounted trans cooler go bad???

I have my truck in the dealer right now for mine PUKING fluid all over the underside of my truck. The dealer is complaining that it shouldn't be a warranty item due to the fact that they have NEVER had to replace one before.

Any one have this problem before???

 

Yes, a few times over the years on different trucks, but usually WAY out of any warranty with lots of miles on them. But they do crack on occasion.

As far as a warranty goes, the ENTIRE truck is under warranty, not just the parts that they want to warranty. Things happen, thats why there IS a warranty!

If all vehicles were perfectly built in the first place there wouldnt be a need for a warranty, or repair shops for that matter.

 

Yes, it is a rare occurence but it does happen.

Tell them thats the one that QC missed on a bad day. Thats what warranty is for and they should be HAPPY they don't see more.

 

So tell them you'd gladly pay for it, BUT you've never had to pay for one before so your not going to now. ha ha ha
