engine louder?

I know they make a quiet kit for the older loud cummins engines, but is there any way to make a newer one ( a 600 ctd) engine louder? To sound like a 2nd gen.? just curious!

Unfortunately no. That injector rattle that sounds so good in the earlier diesels can't be reproduced in the 3rd gens.

But a decent exhaust will help.

Mine seems to be a little louder now then when it was new. It is still nowhere near as loud as the older trucks.....

Put some miles on it...

I think mine is a little louder, too. Sounds like a little valve rattle.
