just removed the silencer ring and had to unplug the sensor on my air box.. its a 2005 2500
i took the silencer out and put it back to gether but forgot to plug back in the sensor..
now my engine light is on..... i plugged the sensor back in but the light still stays on...
i only have 400 miles on it.... lol
any ideas guys??

Once a truck throws a code, it will retest each time you start the engine for the next three starts. If the cause of the code has been corrected, the light will go out.

 

Don't feel bad, I did the EXACT same thing. My check engine light went out after 3 good runs like Cactus said.

 

sweet.... kind of felt like the fool.. 400 miles and i cause the idiot light to come on...
well in a few weeks she will be 4 inches higher 2 inches wider in the exhaust and some bigger feet under her...
the $$$ is just flying away......
cant take it with you..

Ditto! I've done that 3 times now. Once the truck cycles on and off a few times it will turn off...
