38,667 miles with 1475hrs

I don't drive the truck much in the winter months, just let it run on high idle (1200-1500rpm) once or twice a week for 20-30min, from November to April!! To much salt/sand on the roads here

96915 miles /// 2455 hours === 39.476578 average miles per hour

and just for fun...My truck went into service on 7-31-04 with almost no miles on it. (I think 6) And that was 1476 days ago.....I think.

96915 Miles /// 1476 Days ago === 65.660569 average miles per day

or 23966.107 average miles per year

or 1997.1755 average miles per month

Which also means I spend about $20 a day in fuel or $7333.56 annually in fuel at today's prices.

Mine showed I average 40.1 mph but it also tripped the CEL. My Edge Attitude showed it to be a P0191 for the rail sensor. I cleared the code and cleared the light. Was this just a stored code? I have not had a CEL since the first week I owed the truck and did not have any codes after I installed the Edge.

Mine has 5,342 miles, 190 hours. Comes out to 28.1 miles per hour. I use it for towing the race car trailer, every weekend during the summer. Parked in garage for the winter.

112825 miles with 2889 hours about 39 miles per hour.... Of course I bought my truck after it worked as a trailer hauler for a year where they put over 90 thousand miles in that time....

111445km/69100miles 2376 hours a bit low but it's a year of me owning it and i've idled the truck a ton in the winter when it's cold here. Doesn't bother me though, use high idle anytime it's idling. And well the dealers already have enough excuses to try and not do warranty work, not going to worry about it.

Everybody tells me that your well maintained 5.9 should run for 10,000 hrs +/- before rehaul.

So 420,000 miles or so...

We'll see I guess.

Those guys that had a million miles on original 5.9's must have been in the 24,000 hr range!

Wow

Wanna hear scary? I drove a dump truck once that had been a utility bucket truck on transmission line construction in a former life. When I first was assigned it, it had less than 20k miles on it, but over 30k hours! It was 6 years old then. 6-53 Detroit. I imagine it had been rebuilt at least once by then. It was geared super low too, only did about 30mph at full throttle in 13th gear.

My Dodge averaged around 36mph last time I checked it. It was closer to 25 when I first got it, so it's getting better. It was short term leased by a City and likely spent its first few months and 5k miles at city speeds and idling quite a bit.
