You may have the same thing I have then. Your high idle won't work with the cruise. The newer ecm's have the programming to use cruise withought the vacuum pump. Why they cant update the older ecms is a mystery to me!?!?! The high idle will only come on when the truck is idling ( duh!) , in park or neutral, and no brake input or accelerator input for 2 minutes. As soon as you puch the brake or accelerator, the idles comes back down. Thats all I can get mine to do and I have the latest flashes and my own DRB! ( well.....not really mine, but I keep it in my truck! )

I have an 04.5, went to the dealer to have it enabled and it worked fine. If truck is running, I push Cruise, then Set. That's it, resume will do nothing.(or parking brake) I also installed Smarty Jr and was worried about losing that feature but nope, it also enabled it and it works great too. Just make sure you don't have your foot on the brake or anything. I can turn mine on or off by standing on the outside and reaching through the window.

I hope you get it figured out, it is a nice feature.

"resume" button has nothing to do with it and yes most of the time I also enable mine standing beside the truck ... no 2 minute wait on mine either just can't have foot on the brake at the time. I use it quite often in the winter ... nice feature for sure ... wish I had the exhaust brake to go with it for quicker warm ups.
