Electric TV Motor Question

What are the signs that the TV motor is bad or is starting to go bad?

The symptoms vary widely. The reason is that they can stick in any position. If it sticks open (fully turned), then you will get hard shifts, shifts at higher rpm, etc. If it sticks closed, then you will get quick shifts at lower rpm, even at WOT. You can also get increased wear because of lower line pressure. As always putting a pressure gauge and measuring line pressure, is the best way to check it.

They do fail fairly often too. Specially in wetter climates.
