Egt temp question

Hey guys, wondering what anyone notices their EGT's are when running stock and towing. I have to make a run tomorrow and have not installed my gauges yet. Is there a chance of going over 1200* or does it even get that high when only running stock? I an intake, 5" exhaust, and no other mods. Thanks!! Just don't want to have to worry or want to know if I should baby it. My Dmax would never get over 100* even when pulling a load and not familiar with the new Cummins yet.

1200 is pretty easy to reach on a CR. Pulling heavy on some 6* grades here in N.C. I use to see close to 1400 stock.

I wouldnt worry about egts with the intake and exhaust. You shouldnt have any problems at all. Theres no extra fuel...so no extra heat.

As long as you don't have a tune in it, get in and drive, it'll be fine, but pulling a hill with a trailer, you can get to 1300deg + pre turbo even stock.

A stock 2003 should be around 1200-1250 degrees max. No need to worry.

Yeah, I plan on it as soon as get the gauges installed, but right now, i have no idea what the temps are ranging. I just drive it moderately for the time being.

When hooked up to my fifth wheel, I'm 22,880lbs combined.

Running up I-81 from Roanoke to Harrisburg at 65 mph, with the Juice on the tow position, I do not see more than 1100 degres with the cruise control on. I can accellerate to 75 with ease going up hills. EGT's still good.

I do not engage the juice until I'm up to speed. Keep the rpms up and you should be fine.
