Dynatrac free spin kit question

My '06 has a little over 200,000 miles on it now. I've been fortunate that I have never had to replace the front hubs or any steering components as of yet. Ball joints still seem to be ok believe it or not.
My question is: I am going to install the free spin kit and was wondering if the extra price for the dynatrac hubs is worth the money. I dont mind the warns sticking out a little more than the dynatracs as long as they are of the same quality. If the dynatracs are significantly stronger then I would rather have them. I know the kit with the warn hubs is a little under $2000 and its over $2300 with the dynatracs.

Has anyone here ever had issues with the warn hubs?

Any info is appreciated.

thanks
Dave

Is another option I chose... They come assembled and make for a much easier install. Good Luck with your selection..

I have been very happy with mine.. Almost 50k on them now.. Luv Um

I wish I could see the exploded view of the spyntec kit. The picture just shows the assembled hub. It does look nice though. I do see that it shows to have the wheel studs in place. Does the dynatrac kit have wheel studs with it? How far does the spyntec kit stick out in comparison to the dynatrac? I assume it is the same as the kit with the warn hubs.

thanks for the info so far.

Dave

I'm very happy with my Dynatrac set up, but would have considered JP-4.5's set up had I known about it.

Ask and I shall receive!! Thanks rogers259!

I am thinking I may give this kit a try. I called EMS the other day and talked to a guy and he seemed to know his stuff.

I am sure the dynatrac kit is top notch but this one seems to be very good also(at quite a bit of savings). The only thing I am not 100% sure about is how strong the milemarker hubs are. I have not heard anything bad about them though.

thanks for the replys

Dave

Ask them where every part is actually made. Dynatrac is 100% USA. I am not sure about the others.

Yup,

And to answer the original question the Dynaloc hubs are way stronger than the Warns and a neat part of the design is that if they do fail they default to the locked position as opposed to unlocking. Generallt when your in a situation that would break a hub you are also in desperate need of 4wd.

Here are pics of how far the Warns stick out as opposed to the Dynalocs:

When I talked to EMS they told me all their parts were made in the US also. If someone knows different then I would like to know. That would be reason itself to go with the Dynatrac system.

thanks

i was told that the EMS kit was manufactured in Australia...and that there is a LONG waiting list for them due to issues w/ shipments. i was on the waiting list for 4 months but i told them to take me off of it and i'll just go somewhere else for the kit.

i think i'll be going w/ the spyntec kit.

I believe that's correct the old EMS kit used to come from Aus. and EMS was having issues being able to keep things in stock. Hence the reason they picked up the Spyntec Kit.

Would be great if we could get a group buy going through DTR.

DTR doesn't allow group buys or I would set up a Dynatrac one.

Hmm, sounds like a great time for Lary to contact the MFG. and arrange special pricing if we can get volume.........I know I need one.
