Hi, New guy here. Just traded for a 2003 2wheel drive 3500 dodge. I have a 89 ford F350. The ford has a dump bed on it. I wanna take the dump bed and put it on my dodge. Dodge has a replaced 99-2001 12 valve in it with a 6 speed tranny. My question is will the pump from the ford fit the dodge? If not, what kind of pump will fit the dodge? Does it take something different? Thx in advance for any replies. Looking forward to learning about the 12 valve. Never had one....always wanted one.

 

If it has a 12 valve then it is BEFORE 98.5 as that was the year the 24 valves began.

 

Thx for that info....I got a long way to go to learn about it. It runs good and will make a decent dump truck. I got to find out if the pump will interchange.

 

Is this a bad idea? Not much info on it. All I wanna know is what kind of pump I need to look for. Anyone got any idea?

 

Well, I found a whole setup PTO, pump,tank,lines,flatbed and all.....It was on a 95 dodge with a 5 speed. Mine is a 2003 with a 6 speed. I hope the PTO will interchange. If so.....Im in business. Will know soon enough. Thx for looking anyway guys.
