Drivetrain or suspension?

Just had the front right U joint replaced at the dealer, it been about a week since I picked it up. I've noticed a vibration in the seat and steering wheel under throttle, not heavy throttle just normal driving, and it seems to go away at highway speeds. Any ideas??
I thought maybe lugnuts but they appear to be tight, or U joints in the driveshaft.

tell you the truth I think some of it is coming from the exhaust system... I don't know it just feels like it... another thing is I just did a trans. service and adjusted the bands and it seems to of helped the vibration... go figure ??????

I just had a similar problem, mine vibrated like heck upon deceleration. It didn't matter brake no brake clutch no clutch. I would jack up the rear and run it in gear if it's your u-joints or drive shaft you should see it. For me it was u-joints. I had to drop the drive shaft completely to be able to find the u-joint that was bad i replaced all three.-Shawn

I'm taking mine in to the dealer next week for a similar problem. I think it is either U-joints or a bent driveshaft. Either way, warranty is a good thing because I don't want to deal with it.

Well I had the truck into the dealer today. They aren't 100% sure what it is, but they are going to replace the rear driveshaft anyway because they also noticed it had over 1/4" of runout when spinning. And I'm glad they are covering it under warranty (I was worried because of the larger tires/lift blocks). But they didn't even mention it.

this also sounds like the launch shudder TSB. http://dodgeram.info/tsb/2004/03-003-04.htm

when I had it starting and stoping. I also thought it was u-joints. I tried a quick lowering of the driveshaft and it went away.

Yeah, my problem with searching on here about most vibrations in the driveline came up with two-piece driveshafts. I have a SWB so mine is a one-piece.

If this driveshaft doesn't fix it I might try that, but I figure a warranty is a warranty if it don't cost me a dime...
