Double Deep pan question

I have recently purchased a Mag Hytec Double Deep trans pan for my truck from Geno's and it came with a filter spacer. Does this spacer not require a seal or gasket to seal it to the valve body? I didn't see one in the box.

You will need an extra seal , one permanent between the spacer & VB , then one between filter & spacer , after that , each filter change you just need the one at filter .

When you go to change out the pan , get a new filter kit [ comes with a gasket ] , then pull out of box to make sure that when you tell the counter guy that he gets you another just like that , I haven't have that yr. apart so not sure , but in the past they are gaskets , not seals .
So most any parts house , but I try to avoid the do it your self places , Napa is a good all round source .
