Hi guys,

Hey I'm thinking about buying a 2004.5 dodge 3500 srw CTD w/ 90k on it; Fisher plow, thinking this thing must have a tow package.. Hmmm... It has the light/break plug in the bumper and the guy used a brake set up all installed and seems to be working.

So I lift the hood and do a little inspection of radiator type componants.. Hmm.. Rear first: radiator, next looks like (large, thin) AC, next is the ol' intercooler... NOW: up front is thin and big as life... is this my tranny cooler? This rig does have the 48re, correct?

My 2000 2500 CTD has a rather small unit that runs top to bottom on the drivers side.. along side this is a thin, large unit looks like AC...

What about plow packages.. how do I tell if it had that installed at factory?..

vin# 3D7LU38C84G211942 if that helps at all...

Wish I could collect all that read-out that dodge has about this thing.. all kinds of web sites to check vins for a price... too bad dodge wouldn't make that available..

trying to visualize under my own hood... should have transmission lines attached to it... sounds like the trans cooler.

 

Your dealer should print out a build sheet for you.

 

Actually, I'm purchasing this one from a Ford Dealer.. (can't wait to get it off the lot, you know!) But I called my local Dodge Dealer and they said just give them the vin number and wallahhhh... That should tell me all...

That is your trans cooler if I am visualizing what your saying correctly.
