Does code P0071 really mean much?

Started my truck this morning and got the "engine" light. I checked for codes and got P0071 which is "ambient temperature sensor performance". What does that mean. Truck runs o.k. and is bone stock with 55,000 kms (30,000)on it.
Also how do you check for more then one code. do you just keep turning the key on and off after the first one shows up?

thanks and Merry Christmas

After you go thru the on off on off on wait ,any codes that your truck has will show up one after another until it says Pdone and check engine light will come on.There is no need to cycle the key anymore.

They will come up simultaneously...say you have three codes, one will come up, followed by another, followed by the last, then it will tell you that the test is complete or whatever it says to let you know it's done...can't remember exactly
