Roadmedic, did you ever find that noise you were looking for when you changed out the carrier bearing?

By the way, bought mine last spring with 208K. My only major expense so far has been ball joint replacement and tires. Just finished a 5K mile trip with no problems.

Fellow CTD owners - a lot of the population buy these trucks (and the other brands) when really they should have walked down to the Ferrari dealer but probably turned in the wrong direction. What I am saying is I pull 7 tons with a basically stock 07 5.9 6 speed. I don't need to go down the highway at 100mph - 60 is fine, my fuel economy is good empty and towing. Don't slam the brakes on, dont rev the pi$$ out of a diesel that was designed originally to pull 2500. Don't try and get around a street corner in a microsecond - take your time, it's a truck! Take off steady, slow down early, cool that turbo down, change the oil often, you don't have to go up the hill in 6th gear just to get bragging rights. You may find that your truck will last a long time and really - a lot of extra maintenance is due to your driving habits. Otherwise - go buy the Ferrari.

I noticed your handle: Dodge Challenger. As far as I'm concerned that was no wrong turn.

No, it is still there. It seems to be wind noise through the Cowl and maybe to the blower. It comes and goes based on the wind directions and speed.
