Dodge Durability??

For those of you who have 200,000 or more miles, what general maintenance items have you had to replace. Mine has already had 2 sets of balljoints (needs new ones already 10,000miles later) a lift pump, rear main seal, rear door wiring harness, window control unit, and now my transfer case control module is out. I bought this truck two years ago with 43,000 miles thinking it would last me 10 years but, it seems I'm in the shop every few months. I am really worried that I'm due something big like injectors, turbo or a tranny. So, what did you have to fix on your way to 200,000?

I'm at 183,000 and the only thing I have done is a lift pump @ 63,000 and a u-joint on the left front axle.

Storx I'd say that is pretty durable. All repairs are pretty much wear items.

haha not that its funny u had all that happen to you.. it just reminded me of my old 2000 24valve...

In the 3 years i owned it...
I put.....
5x Liftpumps
4x vp44's
3x rebuilt the Autotrans..
1x torque converter

then i came across F.A.S.S and i been using them ever since... never had another fuel issue after i switched...

then when i was getting a new truck i bought the 6 speed G56 version because i never wanted to drive a dodge autotrands again.. nothing but headaches..

Yeah it was a tough 25k for that truck and it was all within a 6 month span so it was a tough time for my checking account. Really I must say the 48re is much tougher than I thought it was going to be, 176k miles getting pretty beat up is much better than the 100k at a time we could get out of our E4ODs and 4R100 in my family's fords.

my 2500 4X4 LB 5.9L has 106K, and already been thru a set of BJs , under warranty
auto trans has been serviced 3x, but now, according to others on this site, I apparently may need the GPS,and associated transducer replaced in the trans.Plus,I found one of the batteries to be "bad" today, so in went 2 new Interstate batts @$215. Anyone have a suggestion for an upgrade on the BJs? It hasn't been 15K since the dealer replaced them, but I definately have similar issues again ... I tow, but never overload the truck. Mostly mid Atlantic area, not too much mountains. The truck is mostly stock with an intake set-up, and the cat removed. I use Amsoil. And love Iron Maiden ...

My truck has just been fantastic. It will be a sad day if and when I have to part with her. It even came through getting freight-trained in the rear by two semis. I have 252K on it and just came back from a 3000 mile trip to Canada. She is running and driving like "Mighty-Whitey" did when I brought her home new, maybe better!

12k 51” Donaldson muffler
30K TST controller, gauges
30K Fass 11, 95gph fuel pump, original still working ok
30K Bilstein shocks
50K II Phatshaft 62/12 Turbo, original still fine
80K Rear Ujoints
100k New serpentine belt, coolant change, OE belt looked great
150K Brake pads, rear ujoints
180K Front hubbearings, axle ujoints
200K Water pump, (original still OK), coolant change, idler pulleys, front
driveshaft rebuilt
220K injectors, GDP 2 micron setup, SB3250DD clutch, original still not
slipping but pretty far gone
230K Modulite trailer light controller, Fuel control actuator
240 K Ball joints, steering upgrade, front brake pads (I was in
there)serpentine belt(old one looked good) KYB shocks, rear ujoint
248K Rebuilt alternator with Gould kit and bearings (still working ok, but
bearing getting bad when I disassembled it)
