What can you monitor with you diagnostic tool/computer? I would assume everything, can you adjust things with your computer? Is there any way I could buy one?

 

You can monitor all the same things that an aftermarket "monitor" can (or OBDII messages).

You can't adjust things, you can only reprogram and with the DRB you can't modify the engine software. You can enable/disable algorithms, but you can't change fueling/timing/boost etc.

No, you can't buy it.

Maybe...but it's brand new with all software updates for 3 full years as opposed to used. I know the Scan tool for the dealership I work for is in the neighbourhood of $10,000 Canadian! Ouch.

 

I need to adjust things not just monitor them. So only dealers can have that softwear. How are the after maket HP people adjusting things? Just guessing or are they doing it on the go? Someone was talking about their HP box in stock mode being from Brazil or something. Marco on the TDR must of figured the programs out on his own. They were talking about a timing box the other day on here what happened to it?

Isn't that still just to monitor and reset codes? You can't change anything with it can you, well like timing or fuel?

 

Nothing can be changed other then door locks or seat belt chimes etc.

 

I appreciate the info. That's what I figured only the manufacture can do the changing on the go.
I think I've found a solution though. It can be done and hopefully I'll have it up and going soon.
