has anyone ever had the shaft between the exhaust and intake turbines in the torbo break?

I just had something similiar to that happen about 2 months ago. The exhaust turbine broke right off of the end of the shaft and was bouncing around all over inside of the exhaust turbine housing. Oddly enough mine happened when the turbo wasnt fully spooled up to speed when I 'goosed' it a bit in reverse in a parking lot. I suppose it is a good thing that it didnt fail when it was spinning at 30,000rpm... sure it would have made a much bigger mess.
This was on a 2006 2500 with 86,000 miles on it.

Seems like they used to break them when the TST box first came out. Crank the box way up and stomp on it and it could break the shaft in the stock turbo.
