Do these trucks have a break-in program?

I've got about 6400 miles on my truck now, and it seems like lately the truck feels a bit more powerful and even sounds different (more powerful) at idle. I haven't changed anything, just been driving the same all along. Is there some sort of break-in program in the computer on these trucks?

Just drive it like you stole it.

You might want to hook up to something heavy and tow it for 50 miles. Your truck will break in even more under a load, and get better fuel mileage. The engine isn't broke in until 50K+ miles.

They do seem to smooth out. Towing and hauling is good for them. They like it! Some people say it takes about 30000miles to break in. Some say 100,000. It just gets better!

It is rumoured that there is a sacrificial diode that burns out and changes the computer program once break in is established, this ensures that the truck is not drastically abused until it is safe....in theory . Simple safeguard and does explain why some people (myself included) notice a change after several thousand KM.
