I used mobli 1 synthetic. The gaskets are reuseable. Just wipe them down and put them back on.

The rear is almost 4 and the front 3 quarts. I also went with 75w 140 as that was what the dealer told me they were doing on all that came in for changes.

thanks. I also remember someone on here talking about the bolts breaking off? Should I buy a few spares before? What is the torque? I think it was 25

I guess i was lucky, no problems with any of mine. Cant remember the exact torque specs but that sounds about right. I also used a little bit of thread locker as there was some on there from the factory.

No problem with the fastners on mine either. I think the recommended torque was 30 or 35ft/lbs. I torqued it to 25 because I was scared of the bolts breaking. Put 75-90 in mine and yes the gaskets are reusable

Yes be careful when you torque the bolts back down, the alloy they are made out of is junk. It doesn't take a whole lot to twist them in half. I had to use easy-outs to remove mine when I broke a couple of them off. I couldn't believe how easy they broke.

Thanks for all the help. It was 4 in the rear and 3 in the front. Also I drained all the fluid from the fill ports on the front and rear diff. I know a friend at a dodge dealer and he says when they change the customers front and rear they dont take off the cover. They use a pump and pump it out so thats why they never have broken diff bolts. I did the same and measured how much came out.

I always pull the diff covers. Yes it takes extra time to take out 16 bolts rear and 14 front, but I want to see the gears and also to get all of the old oil out of it. I just did mine and the rear took 4.55 qt's & 3 front.

Does anyone know for sure what size bolt they are?

Figure I'll order up some from McMaster Carr in a good stainless.
