I guess I too am one of the lucky ones... after 60K+ miles (half that hauling a 5th wheel around), I have had two problems: 1) recirc door broke at 59K and 2) the idler pulley bearing took a sh*t and ate the serpentine belt at 60K (truck is in the shop for that now). It is paid for so I am gonna hope to get two or three more years out of it before "up-sizing" to a MDT to haul a larger 5th wheel when I retire.

Man, does anybody remember the days when labor was less than or at least equal to the cost of parts most of the time? What happened? Are there that many people out there that just pay whatever the dealer charges time and time again? Maybe I'm getting old or I'm used to small town living but what these dealers charge seems to be outrageous. I guess this problem is not only in the auto industry either now that I think about it. Maybe I should turn Amish

the u joints should have been replaced under warranty. my 03 had a bad u joint in the rear end and they replaced the u joints and the yoke (or whatever it is called that the u joint goes into).
