Deep puddle... didn't see it...?'s

I ran into a large "puddle" of water on the highway this morning coming home from work. I was going thru the toll booth (IPASS) at maybe 30mph. I didn't see the standing water. Felt like a foot of water but was probably less. Water went everywhere as hard as I've ever felt while driving in a vehicle. Truck felt like I was floating and almost stopped me cold. Right away I noticed my water temp gauge, which had been at operating temp, now was below normal range. I thought that was strange. Truck ran fine. A minute later I get the WIF light and beeping about for 5 seconds and that goes off... that never happened before. When I got home I pulled codes P0602, 0606, 0628 (which I always have because of fuel pump fuse is out due to Walbro), and 2269 which is WIF.
The first two are Control module prog error and PCM processor fault.
Did I just get water in some sensitive electrical connections or ???

I had that happen one time, went thru a huge puddle, water everywhere(didnt know it was that deep) couldnt see, WIF light came on, got home, truck sat for a bit and the light went off. I drained the filter canister just in case, didnt see any water...

I think I'd be hosing the engine off and draining the filter can to be safe. Remember that salt water conducts electricity rather well. If were just summertime rain water it probably wouldn't have had the same effect.

My 04.5 would do the WIF all the time in the rain if I was driving in pudles and constantly splashing watter up under the hood. It usaly just went away a few minutes later.

My truck does this to when hitting puddles in the rain or sometimes hitting it with the pressure washer

Your lucky, we just lost a computer on one of the trucks due to a large mud/coal hole underground. It makes for a fun ride with fourwheel drive not working in narrow tunnels inside of a mountain.
