I've replaced **** near everything and upgraded numerous parts. I am 99.9% convinced my issues have been due to the BFG AT's that are out of wack. Cant wait till they burn up or rot...... whatever happens first without me behind the wheel.

Not sure if this is the death wobble

My truck is a 05 Dodge Crew Cab 4 wheel drive 4 wheel drive with a 6" Tiuff Country lift kit 20" wheels and 35" Toyo tires.

When I hit about 44,000 miles steering started feeling loose. If the roads had snow or ice it was really scary to drive this truck, it had enough play in the steering to give you a false feeling. Were you slipping on the road or is it the steering.
I got on here and read this post and followed repairs other have done. with NO FIX to my truck!
New tires, New Ball joints TXR, several shops looking at it even the dealer.
I had one tie rod replaced along with the Ball joints (Driver's side Upper) New Bushing in the sway bar.
One day I was leaving work took a turn Right and the truck would not steer, it felt like I had a flat. I headed straight to the parking lot across the road to see what happen.

The passanger side rod that hooks up there was laying on the ground the ball joint that holds that rod came out of the rod socket. I towed it to a shop and they replaced the below parts and they showed be the ball joint and rod fitup and there was easy a 1/4" of play in there.

I had several shops looks at this truck and none of them found this. You might want to look there..

stre left outer tie rod end, stre right side drag link.

Hope this will help someone out there..

Tires and the Death Wobble! There are have been lots and lots of posts on the subject. I can only tell you about my experience. I bought my 2003 brand new. Replaced the stock tires with 285-75-17 BFG's at 65k miles. I put the Hell Bent Steel leveling spacers on at about 100k. The first time I had the Death Wobble was at 115k, when the tires had about 50k on them. The wobble became more prevalent as the mileage added up. I replaced the tires with Nitto Terra Grapplers (305-75-17) @ 125k. I currently have about 10k on the new tires and have not had the Death Wobble since. The truck has 135k miles and has never had an alingment or ball joint replacement. For me, the tires made all of the difference! I am very happy with the new tires.

Chris,
I went through the same trouble you did with the leveling kit and the 315s. I almost died on the 210 coming out of Pasadena before I removed the pucks. Since, I have had no issues, but it takes time before you gain confidence in your truck. I get very minimal rub...and only at full lock with 35s. Do yourself a favor and "live" with a nose heavy truck. Good luck.

I've been fighting the dang DW since I bought my truck almost 4 years ago. Sucks. I've held the dealers feet to the fire on this because they sold the truck to me as stock, with an extended warranty, and it's not stock. Dual stabilizers that THEY installed for the first owner- so they honor the warranty.

I think just about every repair has been done on the truck- ball joints, steering linkage, MULTIPLE different stabilizers, new track bar, different tires...etc. They tried to blame it on the tires at first- said they were too big- had to point out that they're the same size at the Michelin stocks. Finally they are at the point where they are admitting that it's a design flaw that Dodge has known about for years. I like everything else about this truck but it's nerve-wracking not to be able to trust the performance!

Did find that my DW is usually at speeds higher than 60, when changing lanes or making a turn, AND hitting rough road, bumps, or holes. Once I figured that out its' easy to recreate it for the dealer!
