You are in the right forum, I would check with another dealer about the flash that was preformed, if U don't get any satisfaction, contact the Dodge, Chrysler maintenance warranty personnel, don't know where U are at, also fill in the info. on the type of vehicle, a/t 6 sp. Etc.???? Good luck;;

The problem has been reported to FCA [company]. All they do is say to go to dealer. They also say they will talk to dealer but so far they haven't. Vehicle is 2007 megacab three quarter ton 5.9 and auto trans. Everything is as from factory stock. The hold back on cruise worked as it was supposed to until they flashed the computer. I was told they do this to all vehicles to ensure everything is up to their standards and it is impossible to go back to the way it was.

exactly what do you mean by doesn't "hold back"? If it keeps good speed under throttle conditions it is doing what it is designed to do. Diesel engines don't have engine braking unless you have one installed. The exhaust brake on my ctd comes on when going down hill with the cruise set.....to hold the speed down to what it is set at.
