Deal or No Deal?
the pictures look like the trucks engine bay and the underneath look like if there was anything there its been washed off with a pressure washer. look for little stuff like paint washed by pressure washer markings from the pressure...the emblem on the valve cover is an easy sign. the underneath is too clean. drive shaft oil stains that werent completely washed off. trust me i speak from experience. we just sold our work truck and i washed out all the underneath and it looked just like this
Wow guys, thanks for all the help! I am going to look at another one that just went up for sale 2 days ago. It looks very clean from the pics, but I will certainly keep an eye out for that stuff. It seems to be a good deal right now, so we'll see.
Hopefully I will get home tonight and post pics of my new money pit.

Well, I'm now officially broke!
This truck was as nice as I've seen, so I couldn't let it pass. It turns out a guy wanted to buy it this morning before I got there, but the dealer held off until I could look at it since I contacted him about it a couple days ago.

93K miles, no rust, only a couple very small dings and scratches, cold a/c with all functions intact (so far), and pristine interior.
First impression is WOW, compared to my somewhat stock 12V, this thing runs like a scalded dog.
I also don't feel like I've taken a beating after going down a rough road.
Couple questions though:
-It seems as though at idle the engine has a slight lope or varying pitch at regular intervals. I haven't been around CR's too much, so I'm not sure if this is a sign of anything (tune, problem, normal, etc.)
-It also seems that the tranny shifts weird into overdrive when I run it hard. It kind of halfway shifts, then backs off, then fully shifts.
It only happens into overdrive so I was wondering if it might be an electrical problem (solenoid or something). It doesn't bother me too much, but I would like to address it early if it is in fact something to be concerned about.
So far I think I made a good decision, but I want to stop all potential problems as early as possible. All your help was instrumental in making this decision. I guess I'm the newest member of the 3rd Gen Club.
