Dead Batteries

Last time i drove my truck was Wednesday. I noticed that the starter sounded just a little slow spinning. Then I was fine for the rest of the morning. It sat until today. Today I went to start it and the batteries are totally dead. The only thing I can find that looked like a possible drain was that my hood light had come loose from the hood and was hanging by the harness. If I am right that is a gravity operated switch and hanging by the harness could very easily of left it hanging with the bulb on and the hood shut? Any ideas? I snapped it back in to place and will charge the batteries tomorrow and see what happens.

I don't think your underhood light is gonna drain your batteries that fast, I could leave my hood up for a week and that little light wouldn't drain both my batteries. It sounds like your batteries are in need of replacement, perhaps one was going before the other and it was dragging the other down. One thing you may check is make sure all your grounds are clean and tight, and then check the positive sides and make sure they good as well.
