After being on the road all day truck was perfect, pulled in to a subway sandwich shop, and truck will not restart. this is the fourth time that i have shutdown and it will not restart. well the other three times it started after messing with the key back and forth and it finally engages the starter and starts. this time not so lucky. After flat bedding it home 40 miles i threw scan tool on it and up came 5 codes. any help with this codes would be greatly appreciated.

1. p2509
2. p0463

Usually when a vehicle stalls,or half starts ,or whatever,it will throw a list of codes, but your going to have just one bad part. Just have to find the real code,or bad part.

I have a code defination book and found the following:
1. p2509--nothing
2. p0463--fuel level sensor A circuit high input
3. u1403-- Dash cone?
4. u1421--Dash code??
5. p0513--Immobilizer incorrect

I think that the U codes are from the dash check. As far as what the others mean hopefully someone else can help. I could not find anything for the P2509 code as most end at P0999 that I can find.

Hopefully this can help a little.

Don

I thought the battery was only for the keyless entry transmitter portion. The regular transponder keys without the keyless entry don't have a battery, or at least not a replaceable one.

Similar issue with my 2007 MegaCab 5.9L. Experienced it ocasionally, but it would start after ensuring the shifter was in park or neutral. Once I also had to flatbed it. Got to the garage and it started right up. Cleared the codes and have been doing daily checks since. On hard rights and bumpy roads I'm getting my security light flashing. After that I'll check the codes and I'm getting P0513, Invalid SKIM Key consitently. clear the code and continue to roll. So what modual is related to the P0513, Wireless Control Module?

U codes are usually caused by loss of communication on the can bus data line. (the computers on the truck are not able to talk to one or more computer in the can bus data line)

I'm going to bet that the SKIM is not talking to the PCM and you are in theft mode because of that.

Get ready for a trip to the dealer as star scan is the only thing that will be able to communicate with the proper modules to diagnose the problem.
