Cylinder liners

Just bought 2006 3500. Having blow by issue, tube getting pan wet but does not leak at extended idle. This blow by test I’ve been seeing fill cap stays on, makes it not excessive I’m not buying. I do have a blue haze and I’m smelling oil and losing oil. Turbo turbine and outlet all good. The blow by system on 06,07 was after thought I’m sure. Valve cover oil return is clear, check valve working.

Wanting to inframe engine, I know it’s a parent bore liner, without pulling block...if liners are not in bad condition, close to spec. has anyone had problem ball honeing liner? Probly best to pull engine and machine. Just curious, weighing my options.

Yup, no they don’t, none of the 5.9 series did.Force of habit calling the bore a liner. Thanks for the correction on my posting.
