Curious Observation... G 56 Casting Cracks?
Hey there!! I changed the G-56 fluid out on my new 07 to install the Amsoil ATF4. After a couple days I just popped under there to make sure everything was tight and no leaks etc.. I noticed that the Outer casing of the G-56 unit has surface cracks that look much like tire chracks on tires that have been sitting in the sun a while. I am assuming this is just an outside blemish or something. I can't rememebr seeing them on my 06 G-56. THey seem to be concentrated on the bottom of the trans rather than the upper. I was just curious... Thanks!!
If it's normal, then I don't really care about it.. LOLOLOLOL Was just an interesting observation... Not sure why I didn't notice it when I was changing the fluid, only when I went to go ck it! LOLOL

I use a cheap gear lube hand pump I think made by Stalube.
But with the bigger G56 trans and the high volume of fluid that needs to be pumped I would buy the best hand pump available.
Usually by the third quart im pretty tired. I think the G56 takes at least 6 quarts, about 2 more quarts then the NV5600.
The cheap Stalube pump has a adaptor at the exit end of the hose which kinda hooks that end into the trans fill hole. Works good!
