CTD Oil Filter

Does Fleetguard or WIX have a integral bypass filter for the Cummins diesel? If so, what is the part number?

I called Cummins a couple of weeks ago asking the same question. They said they have one they are developing and it is in "Field Testing" at the present time. Sounds like we will get one in the near future.

Just curious what does integral bypass mean & what is the advantage? do they have them for first gen's & 2nd gen's or is it new technology?

The "full flow" and "by-pass" oil filters are in the same (single) oil filter cartridge.

The advantage is you only have one filter to replace, and no extra oil plumbing to contend with.

It is a relatively new developement, but Cummins does have them for some of their other engines.
