cross over tubes?
cross over tubes?
I know cummins recommends to put in new x-over tubes when doing injectors. I also know a lot of people re-use them with no problems. So I am inspecting mine trying to decide if i should get new ones. My question is what to look for to tell if they are still good?
There is no marring or deformation of the tip. there are some very small surface imperfections, that almost look like small scratches but i cant really feel them with a finger nail. otherwise i can see minor discoloration in a ring where the tubes sit but they look pretty good to me. thoughts? i was going to get new o-rings for them but the budget is tight so don't want new tubes unless needed.
Thanks!

You will be ok to reuse them. Mine were the same way and reinstalled. Just be sure to follow instructions and get torque specs right. Keep checking oil frequently with the first few tanks of fuel to make sure they arent leaking internally into the Eng oil without you knowing. Good luck.
