Crankcase Ventilation Recirculation Kit

Is there a kit that does away with the vent tube?
Since installing my exhaust brake, I have more oil venting than before.

Here is IMO the best setup for the money , http://sbmar.com/main/articles/envirovent/
I got tired of smelling the crankcase vapors and did a similar deal with parts that I had and so far so good . My rig hits the scale at 25,200 .
Fleetguard also sells a kit http://www.fleetguard.com/pdfs/produ...LT32599_06.pdf very pricey.

i got tired of smelling the smell aswell so i bought one of these kits...

and had it tacked into the exhaust.. basicly it runs the vapors into the exhaust allowign the hot exhaust gasses to burn it... i did run a diverter valve for when emission time comes up and i have to get sniffed.. haha so they dont get all that oil in the exhaust.. but otherwise it works really well no more smell in the cab at idle.. and it seemed to make the truck idle quieter when i installed it

i installed one of these in my truck and ran it for several years, then decided that it caused oil leaks because the valve that was welded in the exhaust took too much pressure to open
therefor creating too much pressure in the engine...i suppose it would work just fine in a gasoline engine it was designed for

you must have had a bad set or something.. the valves that came in my kit.. would open at 2psi.. when i was messing with them with compressed air...
you are suppose to install them 90 degrees to the flow of exhaust to make the flow of gasses create a vacuum to pull the vapors out.. if not.. then it just will not open.. if you still have yours take a air chuck and spray it across it 90 degrees and then at like 45 degrees you will see what im talking about how it pulls it open from the vacuum

I simply connected a hose to the factory hose and ran it all the way to the back of the truck and exiting at the rear bumper. I don't smell anything anymore unless I'm standing back there....

i origionally did that also.. but when i went in for the sniffer tested it picked up the floating blowby and failed me horribly... disconnected the line and it passed an hour later... i just ran it to the exhuast so i wouldnt have to worry about it leaking everywere anymore..

Mine was smelling pretty bad because I was running Rotella oil. I have since switched over to Mobil Delvac and it doesn't even smell anymore so I may be removing the hose now...
