Crankcase Vent - Anyone Sell A Kit??
I have 6K miles on my truck and checking underneath the truck, the crankcase vent tube which vents openly, is beginning to leave a residue on the front of the bellhousing and trans pan.
I never get any drips or such but just enough to leave an oily film on parts. Does anyone make a kit or anything that would "Catch" the stuff? It is kind of weird to have it just vent onto the drivetrain.

My 04 has done it for 3 1/4 years. Never any drops on floor. It's not very bad and I just wipe it off every oil change (I kinda ****). It become worse the older/dirtier your oil gets. I believe the 2nd gens had a bottle. Some of the members here have added some kind of catch gaget.

My 12valve used to leak on the driveway, few drops here and there, but my 05 never has, I do have the residue, but hasnt ever been enough to drop on the driveway.
You can get a cheap catch can from summitracing/jegs, run more line and mount the resivoir on the radiator support or frame, whereever theres room.
Just have to empty it out every now ant then.
May be able to run something to the valve cover with a PCV valve, to recirculate. I vaguley remember soemthing about making sure there is a one way valve on it, to keep it from sucking out out though(but I think thats if you hook it up to return to the oil pan)
