CP3 Diagnosis

I orderd new CP3 dealer said I need it. Anyone know the procedure for checking it?

My truck 04 starts great stalls after 2.5 miles then a stalls after 13 secounds

Lift pump is sending 11.5lbs

Downloaded repair manuel.

under high presure pump checking it just says

"DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING - FUEL INJECTION
PUMP TIMING
With the Bosch injection pump, there are no
mechanical adjustments needed or necessary to
accomplish fuel injection timing. All timing and fuel
adjustments are electrically made by the engine
mounted Engine Control Module (ECM"

Whaaat's that mean????? Nothing about how to tell if the pump is working right?

Thanks

Philip

If you had a Diablosprt they have live data feed for rail pressure other than that you have to get a chip or dealer should have checked it before they ruled it as a problem. How many miles you got on truck engine has warranty for 100,000 miles. CP3 failures are not to common usually lift pumps and dirty filters on 04

Lift pump could still be bad, I repair cars, and I use a fuel pressure gauge on cars and run it inside the car so I can drive it for miles and watch it, most of the time it takes a few miles, or running it hard to see pressure drops.last week a friend of mine had a problem with his Jeep, so I put my gauge on it,we ran it down the street for a few miles, and the pressure finally dropped, so I told him it's his fuel pump too.He went home pulled the fuel tank down to replace the pump, and guess what, it was just crap plugging the filter attached to the pump, he just cleaned it off, and he was set.
