If you have the dealer do your maintenance. Buy a oil change policy. I have 28 coupons for oil changes.. Cost me $170.00...<br>Thats right.. about $6 a oil change.. the dealer can do them..

 

My dealer is one of my racecar sponsors. As part of the deal, they give me my oil and filter changes. I asked him if I should run it to 7500 miles between oil changes and he recommended between 4500 and 5000 due to the heavy trailer I'm pulling. As he's paying the freight I figure he knows what he's talking about. That will fit right in with my old way of changing oil every 3000 miles or 90 days whichever comes first. I always change the filter with the oil. BTW - just pulled from Carson City, NV and back (about 1800 miles with what I put on it down there going between the hotel and the track) and averaged 14.1 mpg towing. That is with a spoiler on the back of my camper shell and speeds not above 60 most of the time. Pulled some pretty big mountains (from sea level to 8000'). The jake brake saved tons of brakes, and on the uphills I never shifted lower than 5th. What a rig -- and it isn't even broken in yet.
