Correct u-joint part numbers - 48re
So I found out the hard way this morning, that my '05 automatic uses Precision 295s. The 6-speeds use the 351A. I seem to have missed that in all the search digging that I did last night. So I'm posting it here for the rest of you that have yet to deal with this. I also found that there is more missinformation out here, regarding the GM style plastic that they put in the yoke. Our trucks do not have this. We only have end clips, no plastic stuff. So just beat them apart, or use a press. It really wasn't too bad, it just took some patience, a 3lb dead blow mallet, a 3lb mini sledge, and some sockets. So here it is:
'05 Automatic U-Joint part numbers, for the rear shaft (both at the same). Precision 295's from Napa. The 351A is for the 6-speed trucks.
