Coolant dripping from bell housing inspection cover?

I've had my 06 for about 7 months now, After it got down into the low 30's for a couple of nights I noticed a small puddle of coolant under the truck. I noticed today that the puddle is getting bigger. Upon inspection I found that the coolant is coming out of the inspection cover for the bell housing. I looked around and couldn't find an exterior leak. Are there freeze plugs or something that might be causing the leak? The truck is well under warranty with 24K on the clock, so if I can't figure it out it will be making a trip to the dealer for warranty repair. The motor is all stock.

Thanks

Look for a short (4"?) hose under the turbo almost up against the block and attached to two hard lines with hose clamps - tighten the clamps.

Seems to be a common problem.

What he said. I had to double clamp mine after it started again 2 years later.

Thanks, anybody got a pic of where it is? I saw a silver corregated looking line coming down from the turbo to the oilpan, probably an oil return line.

Its a rubber hose with like silver heat wrap and has 2 hose clamps on it. Passenger side close to firewall.

I found the leak, exactly as described. I repositioned and tightened the clamp, we'll see if it fixed the problem. Thanks.

Mine started leaking there a few weeks ago. Of course I thought the worse when I saw the leak but when I crawled under there it was nice to see that its minor.

Saw the same on mine. I tightened the clamps before towing the fiver 300 miles. Checked it when I returned home and it was dry. I'll keep a check, but so far, seems to be the simple fix. PCM

i think the dealers change the clamps out to a different kind-could be wrong. I had them do it to mine after it started leaking...

There is a new hose with a smaller inside diameter as well as what should have been on there from the beginning some spring clamps available at your dealer. I went and picked mine up before Christmas. I haven't had a chance to put it on yet, but I will soon.

Ya'll just made my day. Mine has been leaking and i assumed the worst. I thought it was a freeze plug on the back of the engine. I will take care of this tonight.

Yep, took mine to the dealer for the same leak. It was the line below the turbo. Fixed for free. 14000 on the clock.

Just noticed mine leaking today also. Tightened the clamps and hoping that will take care of it.
