My '04 has 56K miles on it. Thinking that perhaps it's time to do a coolant change. What are ya'll using? I see a notice on the top of the overflow bottle that says something about a special coolant. Anyone know what that's about. Regular old yellow or blue ethelyn glycol won't do any more?

i use the prestone in a yellow bottle. it says on it that it can be used with anything. works good so far. also reccomend a shot of water wetter from redline in it while you are changing it out.

 

If you want what is in there, use Zerex G-05. (HOAT). You should be good for 5 yrs/100,000 miles from the factory though.

 

Just leave the HOAT in 'til 5yrs/100K miles - it's designed for that!
