Am thinking of buying a mileage box for my truck.Looked at the quadzilla $135.32 and the edge $279.20.Both claim about the same results...but why the difference in price??Do these things work as claimed?
I've run the Quad box, and just can't get a steady enough average to say if it's worth it or not. Some tanks average 20.5-21 mpg, and others are right around normal for me, which is 18.5-20 mpg. I think if I was a long-run driver using my truck for deliveries and such it might be easier to tell, but for everyday driving I just can't see a steady difference. The truck does seem a bit peppier on the bottom end with the box on though.
Get a smarty Jr. and be done with it. I have had a Quad Std. box for several years. I ugraded it to the Quad Std II box and now run the pressure only tune. You can download different tunes for the box. I do enjoy the box and would buy it again. Get the cheaper mileage box. It will take a while to pay off that box with fuel savings. The cheapest solution is to slow down and drive with a light throttle.
