The inlet air temperature/pressure sensor is mounted on the air cleaner box near the "filter minder" (that red/yellow/green thing that tells you when your filter is clogged).

There is also a dual function Intake Air Temp Sensor/MAP sensor on the intake manifold. That sensor also shares the P0107 and P0108 codes with the Inlet Air Temp/Pressure sensor on the air filter. In other words, either sensor can set those codes.

The Ambient Temperature Sensor (the thing the overhead console gets its info from and is mounted by the driver's side headlight) shares the P0073 code with the Inlet Air Temp/Pressure sensor on the air filter.

what is the likelyhood of replacing the sensor(at the airbox), and it correcting the problem?

here is another thing that i have done and will probably look stupid for having it this way.

when i put on the open element filter, i removed the airbox, and the snesor has just been hanging there for ~ 105,000 miles.

i feel certain that people are laughing at my redneck way of doing mods to my truck.
