cold starting
cold starting
what happens is when the truck has sat over night when i go to start it in the morning it will turn over and almost start but not quite, then i'll crank it over again and away she goes. it will do this about 80% of the time but not always.and once it has ran it will start on the first crank every time unless it sits all day then it's the same thing. i did have a power puck but have taken it out.is it a sign of injectors going.
Does it run rough and smoke alot when you start it? If so i would bet on injectors. I see your from alberta, I live in fort st john BC and had the same problem with the cold weather and idling lots. I called chrysler canada and got approval to take it to a shop other than the dealer for warranty and the other shop put in 90 horse injectors on the warranty claim as they cost close to the same amount as new stock ones. i would give that a try.
oh, i just noticed your trick is an 04 so probly no warranty, try a set of 90 horse injectors and if your running a chip or programmer an airdog fuel pump or something along those lines will help reduce injector problems too.
