For those of you with a manual transmission...... I drained my fuel filter the other day and went to bump the starter (to refill the fuel filter) and found out my switch was not locking out the starter any more. Not a big deal for me, cause I always take it out of gear before starting anyway, but just thought I'd let you guys know. Just out of curiosity I priced a new switch at my dealer it runs about $80. I told him never mind I don't really need that switch anyway.

 

I have never tried mine without pressing the clutch in. I know that when I put my SBC in I had a hard time trying to get the switch let the truck start, not the other way around.
