Clutch ?'s, need some input
I am trying to decide on a clutch for my truck. I have 107k on the stocker and it is still ok but the engagement point seems to be getting further from the floor and I want to have a clutch selected for when it is time. I have a Superchip tuner that I currently do not have installed but when I did I could only run the tow setting. With the perf tune installed the clutch would slip in 4,5,6 gears. I am still not sure weather or not it will go back in the truck. With the construction industry in the tank I am beginning to think more of keeping my truck for longer than I have in the past which has been from 100-120k. More like 300k! Plus, trucks are really getting expensive. So I am not sure if I will add a tuner again, but it is always a possibility.
Anyway, back to the clutch issue. Southbend is probably out of the question due to cost. Valair may be a possibilty since they are less expensive than the SB. It would be the cheaper one, 600-700 dollar range. I have heard Luk is ok. Has anyone had a Valeo clutch? As an OEM replacement they seem to be the cheapest at around 570.00. Of course any clutch I do will have the solid flywheel replacement ilo dual mass. I know the Valair at 6-700 is not much more than the Valeo but you have to upgrade the hydro's for another 275.00 bringing the difference to 3-400 dollars.
I do tow a 12k camper in the summer.
What are your thoughts? Thanks.

save your money up for the south bend your 06 has a dual mass flywheel that is junk the south bend kit has a solid flywheel with a real pilot bearing and includes new hydraulics, drive it right and it will get you over the 1,000,000 mile mark and the truck will too
