clutch/ power steering?

I just picked up a truck a buddy of mine traded in it is a '06 Ram 2500 5.9L 6spd 4wd has south bend dual disk clutch edge box plugged in under hood and S&B CAI. When he traded it in power steering was acting up they said it needed a new pump. The dealership replaced it after I test drove it. The steering would work great until all of a sudden extremely hard to turn like it was holding the wheel. When I drove it, it seemed like it did it after holding the clutch in for a long time. After I got the truck I was sitting in a parking lot and it did it one more time. It stopped pretty quick though and went back to working right. Could clutch affect power steering at all? Truck just had a 6" lift and 37's installed on it too.

I wouldn't think the clutch and steering are related. I wonder if there could be air in the system.

If I recall, there was a thing in the service manual about applying vacuum to the resivor.

Two separate systems.

The dealership replaced the power steering pump on it monday. It has been doing ok just messed up a couple times but cleared up real quick. But for some reason today it has done it three times. Havent done anything different. I was looking at the system looks like there is just a pump, master cylinder, and gear box. I dont think the gear box would be causing this issue so leaning toward master cylinder. I am going to take it back up there and see if they'll check it out.
