Clicky-Clack noise

I've been hearing a clicky-clack noise that sounds like it's coming from my right front and maybe left somewhere, only when I hit bumps and pot holes and I only hear it when my windows are down. Steering is great and on a smooth level road I can let go of the steering wheel and it will drive straight. It sounded like that even before I replaced my front shocks back in January (121,251 miles). Everything on my truck is stock. I replaced my sway bar bushings in 2012. I now have 177,780 miles on it. Any suggestions on what it might be??

I would put a good bet on ball joints. Jack up your tire, and push on it, you should be able to see the joint move if it is bad. May need some one to push on the top/bottom of the tire while you observe.

Also could be a bearing or u-joints. Sometimes those things give off sounds at strange times when they are going out.

Left Upper Control Arm

Right Upper Control Arm

I think this is where my noise is coming from, the left side. Is it best to replace both or just the side that is torn?

My theory would be if one is worn and sloppy, the others may not be far behind. If it were mine I'd replace all of them and not have to mess with it again.
