check guages

i have noticed a couple of times when driving my truck the check guages light will flash for about 1 second and then go off

if you are not looking at the cluster you will never notice it

the guages are all fine and i wonder if anyone else ever has this happen to them and what would cause it

Mine does that once in a while, too. I see there is a TSB about it, but I haven't bothered to take it in and get it done yet...

Mine did that too - took it to the dealer and they reflashed the computer to correct it and it hasn't done it since. Must be a 2003 thing.

Mine does it too occasionally. I suppose a reflash would fix it but I'm wary of them messing with my truck and screwing something up. "If it ain't broken don't fix it" is my motto. It's just a minor annoyance that happens maybe once or twice a month for one second at a time. I can live with it. But, if you want it fixed, this TSB is probably the answer:
