The check engine light was coming on occasionally in my 06 truck. I believe the codes were P0191, P0071 and P0111. Each time I took it to the dealer and they could not find any problems. The truck ran fine but the check engine light would come on. Recently, I was reading the TSB's for the 06 model year and found TSB 18-005-06 Rev. B. This TSB recommends the truck be reflashed if the check engine light comes on for one or more of the following codes: P0071, P0111, P0514 and P0191. I had my truck reflashed and I hope that is the end of the problem. Also the key trick to show trouble codes does not work on my 06 truck. It worked on my 05 but not this one. I have noticed that most of the people advising to use the key trick have an earlier model truck. Consequently, either there is something wrong with my truck or the people advising to use the key trick are not aware of a change that was made in 06.

Key trick doesn't work on my truck either. I too had a check engine light come on and took to dealer to find out why. Tech reflashed computer and said the code had something to do with the cam sensor. CEL hasnt been back on since.

My service order also said the truck was reflashed after the problem was fixed. Didn't say what flash it was though. I called them to ask and he said it was the latest flash from DC but did not not know the number. Like I said before I will not be going back to them.

Just so you all know the filler cap thing is true. Maybe not with the overfill but it will happen if the cap is slightly loose. I found out myself as my light came on once a few miles after I fueled up. Didn't know what is was. I called a friend that works at dodge and he told me this happens all the time with a loose fuel cap and I thought he was full of crap. But I stopped and tightened it up and the light went out.
