Yes, it will help some, but the moderators don't want you to talk about it on this board as it violates federal emission standards.

No, it will not help as the third injection event still happens (burning fuel), it cannot be changed and would not make much difference if it was! Run a hp exhaust or straight pipe if you wish but do not kill the Cat!

It is a federally mandated law now!

Federal laws carry a mandatory 2 year term if convicted!!

That is why DTR does not allow talking/recommending removing the Catalytic converter on their forums DTR is watching out for you!

I was just reading my owners manual and it states that changing the exhaust can violate Federal Noise standards whatever that means.

It's against the law to enter our country illegaly too. But that is O.K. as evidenced by millions of illegals here, however you better not tamper with emissions equipment or you, a US citizen could go to jail for 2 years.

I know someone in Wa St that removed his for dyno purposes only. On the dyno his 05' made no extra power. He's running an aftermarket airfilter and 4" turbo back while on the dyno.

Mine didn't add any extra power either.....4'' exhaust all the way back and AFE stage 2 air intake. But it does help it run cooler by 100-150 degrees or so.

The difference would show up if you added power to it. Stock truck it doesn't make any or much difference.

Who cares if it's against the law. You drive these Dodge trucks over the speed limit don't you?. Yep that's against the law too. If you want to loose the kitty. Then loose it. Just remember the price you "could" pay. Here in Idaho we don't sweat the small stuff.
