CAT 15w40

For anyone who does not run synthetic engine oil. CAT is still making there making their oil to CI+4 standards. I work for a cat dealer and if this is good enough for a new ACERT its good enough for my cummins.

It's Delvac with CAT's own proprietary additives to meet their often more stringent requiremements...it's good stuff.

nothing wrong with it i was just letting everyone know that if your still running standard engine oil, the cat oil is pretty cheap and it is good stuff. Like i said if its good enough for a new ACERT its good enough for me.

I think he just means that your 5w-40 Rotella is the new CJ, not the CI.

Regular Rotella is still CJ as well. Hard too find the old (good) stuff. Try going to a bulk dealer and looken, or just buy Amsoil, John Deere, Cat, ect... Just check to make sure it says CI4 on it and not CJ. There are a lot of post on here about it. Kind of a heated debat.
